Bondo Congregation Burst into Cheers as Orengo Opposes ODM pact with Govt " Msifanye Makosa Kumezwa"

Under the same mango tree where Raila Odinga once masterminded revolutions, Siaya Governor James Orengo dropped a political bomb on Thursday that sent shockwaves from Opoda Farm all the way to State House.

Speaking to a packed homestead still draped in black mourning cloths, the silver-haired lawyer-Senator-governor stared down ODM’s top brass and delivered a line that instantly went viral:

“Watu wa ODM, MSIFANYE MAKOSA YA KUMEZWA!”—Don’t make the mistake of being swallowed!

The crowd erupted. Women ululated, youth waved fists, and even the cattle lowing in the background seemed to moo in approval. Orengo, dressed in a crisp black suit and red tie—the colours of rebellion—wasn’t done.

“We’ve seen parties die after climbing into bed with Kenya Kwanza. PNU died. Ford-Kenya died. ODM will NOT die on my watch!”

He was hosting Kalonzo Musyoka’s Wiper delegation—Mutula Kilonzo Jr and Wavinya Ndeti included—when he launched the broadside barely 48 hours after ODM bigwigs posed for selfies with President Ruto in Mombasa swearing eternal loyalty to the “broad-based government.”

Kisii Governor Simba Arati, ODM’s deputy party leader, had just finished telling NTV that

“ODM is here until 2027—holding Kenya Kwanza accountable from INSIDE.”

Minutes later, Orengo effectively told him and Raila’s handpicked successor: Not in Nyanza, not on Baba’s grave.

Mama Ida sat silently throughout, occasionally nodding, her face unreadable.

Sources close to Opoda say she later pulled Orengo aside and whispered: “Jimmy, protect my husband’s party the way you protected him in court.”

By sunset, #OrengoSpeaks was trending number one countrywide. Ruto’s digital army tried “#BroadBasedGovernment” but got drowned by memes of Orengo as a roaring lion guarding Raila’s grave. One viral clip showed a young man in Bondo shouting: “Orengo amesema hakuna handshake tena—ni HUG goodbye!”

As Kalonzo’s convoy left Opoda, the Wiper boss was overheard telling journalists:

“Orengo has just drawn the red line. 2027 loading…”

In one afternoon, James Orengo didn’t just speak—he resurrected the ghost of the Second Liberation and reminded Kenya that in Nyanza, Raila’s legacy isn’t up for auction, not even to the man occupying Baba’s old enemy’s chair.

The battle for ODM’s soul is officially on—and Orengo just fired the first shot from Raila’s own backyard.
