Outspoken lawyer and political activist Dr. Miguna Miguna has once again set the political stage ablaze with his fiery declaration against Kenya’s political elite.
In a bold statement that has sent shockwaves across the nation, Miguna announced his intention to “deconstruct and battle” what he described as the “bandits” of Kenya’s political system directly naming President William Ruto, former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, former President Uhuru Kenyatta, and opposition leaders alike.
Speaking during a televised interview on Friday, November 7, 2025, Miguna accused both the government and opposition of what he termed “collective corruption, hypocrisy, and betrayal of the Kenyan people.”
He asserted that Kenya’s political class, regardless of party affiliation, has for decades worked in collusion to exploit citizens, impoverish the youth, and silence dissenting voices.
“We are going to deconstruct and battle these bandits from Ruto to Gachagua, from Uhuru to the entire opposition cartel. They have all failed Kenyans,” Miguna declared, his tone filled with defiance.
He went on to accuse the ruling Kenya Kwanza administration of abandoning its promises to the people, citing economic hardship, high taxation, and continued impunity in government institutions.
At the same time, he criticized opposition figures for what he termed “fake resistance” and “deceptive alliances” meant to gain power rather than deliver change.
Miguna further hinted at a new political movement aimed at mobilizing what he called “a generation tired of betrayal.”
He said the movement would focus on accountability, economic justice, and restoring the rule of law.
His remarks have sparked widespread reactions online, with some Kenyans praising him for speaking truth to power, while others dismissed his statements as mere political showmanship.
Nonetheless, Miguna’s latest outburst underscores the growing frustration among Kenyans with both the government and the opposition.
