How Uhuru Kenyatta Was Pampered With Love On His 64th Birthday

Retired President Uhuru Kenyatta turned 64 on Sunday, October 26, 2025, and Kenyans across the country filled social media with warm birthday wishes and messages of respect for his service to the nation.

The Office of the Fourth President shared a message celebrating Uhuru’s leadership and dedication to unity and peace.

“Your journey of service, marked by vision, resilience, and compassion, continues to inspire our nation and beyond,” the post read.

“May this new chapter bring you peace, joy, and renewed strength to keep championing the values you hold dear: unity, integrity, and love for country.”

Many Kenyans responded with heartfelt wishes, calling him one of the most down-to-earth presidents the country has ever had.
One user wrote, “Happy birthday, Mr. President. You’re too young to retire.” Another commented, “Happy and blessed birthday, H.E. Uhuru Kenyatta. May you live a long and healthy life.”

Others described him as “a man of peace,” praising his humility even after leaving office. Messages poured in from both supporters and critics, showing how deeply Uhuru continues to influence Kenya’s political and social life.

Uhuru’s birthday came just a week after the state funeral of his close friend and longtime political ally, Raila Odinga, in Bondo, Siaya County.

During Raila’s burial, the former president gave an emotional tribute, describing Raila as “a brother, a friend, and a true patriot.”

“May God guide him on his final journey,” Uhuru said during the funeral.

“We shall miss his wisdom, laughter, and thoughtfulness. His legacy will continue to inspire future generations.”
The retired president later returned to Raila’s home a day after the funeral to lay flowers and spend quiet moments with the family, a gesture that touched many Kenyans.
