JUST IN-Ruto Meets With Orengo Among Other Senior Leaders During a Crucial Event at State House

President William Ruto has met with Siaya Governor James Orengo, among other key leaders, at State House in Nairobi.

Speaking to the media on Wednesday, the Head of State revealed that the meeting that brought together officials from the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and those from the World Health Organisation centred on how to better the achievement of the Universal Health Coverage.

"The advanced life support ambulances will be handed over to all our 7 national referral facilities. In addition, the counties of Elgeyo Marakwet, Siaya, Marsabit, Samburu and Tana River will benefit from similar vehicles that will support maternal health and UHC...," Ruto said during the presser.

Also during the event, President William Ruto has flagged off a number of Ambulances donated by the WHO to hospitals such as Kenyatta National Hospital, Mathari National Hospital, Mbagathi Hospital, among others.

The Ambulances, Ruto says, will help in reducing deaths related to emergencies, and he said that Kenyans will not be charged to use them.
