Gathoni Wamuchomba has reacted humorously to President William Ruto’s communication announcing the approval of the 23.5-kilometre Kiambu Road dualling project, saying residents will only believe it when it is completed.
In a light but pointed remark, Wamuchomba said, “Tuta amini ikimalizwa!” (We’ll believe it when it’s done), a statement that drew laughter and mixed reactions from Kiambu residents.
Her comment appeared to highlight a growing public skepticism toward government promises, particularly regarding stalled or delayed infrastructure projects in Mount Kenya.
