Ezekiel died in December 2024 after a long illness and was buried in January 2025.
During her late husband’s burial, Rachel had promised his family that she would always wear his ring and keep his name. She even told mourners that she would never forget him.
However, her recent video has left many Kenyans talking after she revealed that she has already remarried.
In a TikTok livestream, Rachel showed off her new ring and said she was officially married.
She also appeared with her new husband in a luxury hotel, where they were spending two nights after what looked like a private wedding celebration.
When asked by fans whether she would drop her late husband’s name, Rachel said she would continue using it despite being married again.
“If my husband has not told me to change, why should I? It is still my name. I will use it as much as I am now Mrs. Aol,” she said.
She added that all her official documents now bear her new name, Rachel Aol, but she would not stop using the Otuoma name online.
Rachel also shared that she and her husband plan to move abroad soon.
“We are relocating to the UK. Our child will be born there. It doesn’t matter where the baby comes as long as it is not in Kenya,” she said confidently.
Her announcement drew mixed reactions online. Some congratulated her for moving on and finding love again, while others said she moved on too fast after her husband’s death.
A few netizens accused her of using the Otuoma name for fame, but she dismissed the claims, saying it was part of her identity. Others, however, sent her warm wishes and prayed for her happiness.
Rachel also addressed rumours that she was pregnant after an AI-edited photo showing her with a baby bump circulated online. She denied the claims but said she hopes to have a child soon.
