Orwoba Predicts Tough Losses for UDA Ahead of Crucial November 27 By-Elections

Former nominated senator Gloria Orwoba has issued a bold and worrying prediction for the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) as the country heads toward the November 27 by-elections.

Speaking through her social media platforms on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, Orwoba expressed deep doubts about UDA’s chances in several key regions, despite being one of the people who campaigned passionately to help the party rise to power.

Orwoba, who was recently replaced by Consolata Wakwabubi in her nomination slot, said she sees little reason to believe that UDA will perform well in the coming polls.

Her comments drew attention because they came from a former insider who understands the party’s internal dynamics and the political mood within its strongholds.

According to Orwoba, UDA is likely to face defeat in Mbeere North, Malava, Magharini, and in all three contested wards in Nyamira County.

She suggested that the political winds have shifted sharply, and voters are no longer rallying behind UDA the way they did during the general elections.

Her warning points to a possible change in public sentiment, one that could send a strong message to the ruling party.

She also hinted that frustration among locals regarding unfulfilled promises and internal conflicts within UDA may have contributed to the weakening support.

While she did not go into detail, her remarks implied that the party needs to reflect on its performance and reconnect with the people if it hopes to regain lost ground.

Political observers say Orwoba’s prediction could be a sign of deeper issues within UDA, especially coming from someone who once defended the party vigorously.
