Kakamega county Senator Hon Boni Khalwale has now attracted huge attention, after claiming that the Speaker of the National Assembly Hon Moses Wetang'ula, has hired a group of hitmen from Uganda who have been tracking him down for unknown political reasons.
While making his allegations, Boni Khalwale claimed that the hitmen from Uganda have been given strict instructions from their boss Wetang'ula, to shoot at him probably with a totally different motive.
Aside from that, Khalwale further claimed that just recently as he was heading to his home, the Ugandan hitmen who were trailing him had a fearful encounter with his security personnel that almost led to loss of lives.
As per his pronouncement, during the untimely encounter between his team and the hitmen, a deadly shootout erupted that left one of the hitman injured.
In a rather controversial fashion, Boni Khalwale boasted that his security personnel was smarter than Wetangula's hitmen, arguing that the young men from Uganda aimed at him severally but ended up missing.
"You (Wetang'ula) believe they (hitmen) are so fearsome, but when they tried firing at me, they ended up missing. But my team was able to hit one of your men." Boni Khalwale stated.
Aside from that, Khalwale indicated that after his team overpowered and injured one of Wetangula's men, he (Wetang'ula) was forced to cough from his pocket and pay for his treatment, which was done in Uganda.
"You were forced to rush him (the injured hitman) to Tororo, Uganda for treatment because you refused to have him treated here in Kenya. My brother Wetang’ula, we are adults like you," Boni Khalwale added.
