14-Year-Old Boy Found Dead While Recovering From Circumcision in Limuru

A 14-year-old boy recovering from circumcision was found dead inside a house in Ngarariga, Limuru, Kiambu County. Police said the discovery was made on November 20, 2025.

The boy had undergone circumcision on November 14 and was staying under the care of three villagers as he healed. At the time he was found, the three caretakers were not at the house.

According to police, the boy’s grandmother had been taking food to him every day. She became worried when he failed to step outside and drink porridge with his friends as he always did. Sensing something was wrong, she called the boy’s mother.

The mother arrived with a neighbour, and when they entered the house, they found the boy lying unresponsive on the floor.

Police reported that the body had vomit around the mouth, blood from the nose, bruises on the legs, and marks on the thighs. An autopsy will determine the exact cause of death. Investigations are ongoing.
