President William Ruto has said Emurua Dikirr Constituency is entering a new phase of development, citing ongoing investments aimed at improving livelihoods and expanding economic opportunities for residents.
Ruto said his administration was working with local leaders and residents to implement projects focused on strengthening businesses, healthcare training and access to employment opportunities.
The President made the remarks while inspecting the Mamboleo Modern Market in Emurua Dikirr, Narok County, which is expected to provide a safer and more conducive environment for traders.
According to Ruto, the facility will accommodate more than 250 traders, providing them with an improved space to conduct their businesses.
He said modern markets were part of efforts by his administration to support small-scale traders and create an environment where businesses can grow.
Ruto also laid the foundation stone for the Trans Mara East Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) Student Village in the constituency.
The student accommodation project is expected to support healthcare training in the region while contributing to employment opportunities and strengthening the provision of medical services.
The President linked the investment to his broader development agenda, saying improved healthcare training would help expand the region's capacity to produce skilled medical personnel.
Ruto said the projects reflected his administration's approach of prioritising development over political divisions.
"Emurua Dikirr is turning a new page—one defined by unity, purposeful leadership and development that improves the lives of the people," he said.
He added that the government would continue working with leaders and residents to advance practical investments capable of expanding opportunities across the constituency.
The President maintained that bringing communities together and delivering tangible development projects remained central to his vision for Emurua Dikirr and the wider Narok County.
The projects come as the government continues to promote infrastructure, education, healthcare and enterprise development as key drivers of local economic growth.
