Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has dismissed the loud criticism directed at the Social Health Authority (SHA), saying most of the people attacking the new system are not actual beneficiaries.
According to him, Kenyans who are using SHA have not raised complaints, and the negative comments being pushed in public are mainly from politicians searching for talking points.
Duale argued that the same leaders who are condemning SHA were silent when the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) struggled for years without delivering meaningful results.
He said the change to SHA was necessary because the old system was no longer working for ordinary citizens, especially those seeking treatment in public and private hospitals.
The CS pointed out that SHA has already shown strong performance within its first year.
He revealed that the authority has collected Ksh 81 billion, a figure he says clearly shows public confidence in the new model.TO READ MORE, TAP HERE.
