Ngorika Search Intensifies as Family Seeks Answers in Peter Kihara’s Mysterious Disappearance

Residents of Ngorika in Nyandarua County are living with uncertainty and fear as the search for 38-year-old Peter Kihara enters another week.

Kihara disappeared on November 1, leaving his family and the wider community deeply worried and desperate for answers.

According to relatives, Kihara was last seen near River Ngorika. The family says that on the evening he went missing, a neighbour allegedly heard someone calling for help from the direction of the river.

When people rushed to check what was happening, they found no one there.

The only trace of Kihara that later emerged was a pair of trousers discovered close to the riverbank, raising even more questions about what might have happened to him.

Since then, both locals and the family have spent days combing through bushes, riverbanks, and nearby farms in hopes of finding any sign of him.

Groups of volunteers have continued to gather every morning, dividing themselves into teams to cover different parts of the area.

Despite their efforts, the search has not yielded any major breakthrough.

Kihara’s relatives say the uncertainty is weighing heavily on them. They describe him as a calm and responsible man who rarely kept to himself for long.

His sudden disappearance, they say, is completely out of character and has left them fearing the worst.

The family is urging authorities to step up their support and widen the search beyond the immediate river area.

Local leaders have also joined the call for more resources, saying the community is doing everything it can but needs professional assistance, including divers and tracking experts.

They believe that every hour that passes matters, especially in a case with so many unanswered questions.
