Former Trade Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has accused members of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party of holding campaigns in Mbeere North, 24 hours after the official conclusion of the campaigns.
Kuria, who took to X (formerly Twitter) to confirm this news on November 26, shared a video of a crowd, alleging that those were members of UDA.
He also called upon the IEBC Chairperson to ensure that the process is free and fair, adding that they were not going to allow politics of intimidation in Embu County.
Meanwhile, Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has stated that the government is not going to allow civilians to protect their alleged votes.
Murkomen, who was speaking about the upcoming by-elections across the country, urged Kenyans to vote and go home, stating that the police who will be deployed in these areas will be there to protect the votes and deal with individuals who will attempt to disrupt the voting process.
The CS also revealed that Governor George Natembeya's security details were withdrawn for allegedly working with goons, adding that they also seemed to engage in politics.
Murkomen spoke hours after Trans-Nzoia Governor Natembeya took to his social media platforms to cry out over the withdrawal of his security detail.
