Bees Disrupt Court Session in Lugazi After Wrongly Jailed Man’s Case Takes Dramatic Turn

A dramatic scene unfolded at the Lugazi Town Court on Monday when a swarm of bees stormed the courtroom, sending magistrates, lawyers, and spectators fleeing for safety.

The incident happened moments before the ruling in a case involving a man accused of theft under questionable circumstances.

Eyewitnesses say the swarm appeared suddenly through an open window and settled near the judge’s bench, buzzing loudly as proceedings came to a standstill.

Court orderlies tried to disperse them but were forced to retreat after the bees became more aggressive.

“It was chaos,” said a witness who was in the courtroom.

“People ran outside, leaving their files and phones behind. Even the judge dropped his papers and rushed out.”

The man on trial, whose name is being withheld for security reasons, had been in custody for nearly three weeks despite several pleas of innocence.

What happened next left many in shock. The bees reportedly hovered near the accused, forming what observers described as a “protective cloud” around him.

Moments later, the judge, after regaining composure, returned to the courtroom and announced a surprising decision — he reversed the earlier judgment and ordered the man’s immediate release.

“I do not understand what happened,” said a court clerk.

“But everyone could see something unusual was going on. The timing was too exact to ignore.”TO READ MORE, TAP HERE.
