"The Only Thing Left is For Leaders to Grab Each Other's Collars" Amisi Reacts to Duale-Kibagen Heat

Saboti Member of Parliament, Hon. Caleb Amisi, has reacted with dismay to the fiery public confrontation between Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale and MP Anthony Kibagendi, suggesting that Kenyan politics has hit a new low.

The MP expressed his frustration after a video of the chaotic parliamentary Health Committee meeting went viral, showing the two leaders engaged in a bitter shouting match.

Amisi warned that if such conduct continues, the only thing left for leaders to do is to start physically fighting each other.

The outspoken legislator shared his thoughts on X (formerly Twitter) while reacting to a news report about the heated exchange.

"I think ile imebaki hii nchi ni viongozi kushikana mashati," he wrote.

Amisi made it clear he was tired of the endless arguments that have come to define the country's political discourse, adding, "Enough of explanation and shouting"

The confrontation that prompted Amisi's reaction was a dramatic showdown during a Health Committee session on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.

The argument erupted after CS Duale accused MP Kibagendi of having a conflict of interest related to the Social Health Authority (SHA).

Kibagendi fired back, accusing the CS of corruption, which led to a chaotic scene and the eventual ejection of the MP from the meeting.

The incident has been widely condemned as a display of poor leadership and a lack of decorum.

Hon. Caleb Amisi concluded his post with a passionate plea for change, stating, "Kenya needs a renaissance!"

His comments have since been widely shared, striking a chord with many Kenyans who are growing tired of the constant political theatrics.
