According to information shared by relatives, 19-year-old Nicole Jemutai was hit by a speeding vehicle while crossing the busy road on the evening of October 4, 2025.
The young scholar had travelled to Nairobi for her weekend classes and was on her way back to her hostel when the unfortunate incident happened.

Her uncle, Mathayo Sing’oei, expressed the family’s heartbreak, saying Nicole had always been disciplined and dedicated to her studies.

Plans for her burial are ongoing. A fundraising event is scheduled for Saturday, October 11, at her home in Seiyo Village, starting from 2 p.m. Her final send-off will be held on Tuesday, October 14.
