Presidential candidate Dr Fred Matiang'i has received a big boost for his presidential bid days after announcing to officially align with the Jubilee Party.
During an interview, a governance expert from the Jubilee Party alleged that Martha Karua will not be the flag bearer of the coalition that Jubilee will join.
In a statement shared online by TheKenyaTimes in their official verified page at X, Cathy Irungu further alleged that the people's liberation party flag bearer has not been mentioned anywhere to stand a chance to spearhead the coalition.
I another statement, Cathy has argued that as the party they have refuted claims that Matiang'i comes from the Kisii community in the United opposition leaders.
Cathy in her sentiments, has alleged that as a party they will not allow to be put inbox that he is a Kisii.
This sentiments comes amid rising tensions and speculation surrounding the opposition as they are trying to align strongly in an attempt to unseat president Ruto in 2027 general election.
This assertion gives the presidential aspirant big hope and his supporters from the party their aspirant has aligned with.
The opposition camp especially Martha Karua who has been termed not eligible to be a flag bearer of the opposition team.
In his remarks Gachagua has always stated that as opposition they would propose one candidate to stand and challenge the sitting president.
Martha Karua on the other end has termed herself competent enough to become the first woman to be the president in Kenya.
