The woman, identified as Jossy Egwa Kilei, said she sent the money to him via M-Pesa for safekeeping, believing it was meant to secure their future together.
According to her, she contributed KSh 450,000, while he added KSh 120,000 to the pool of savings.
The funds, she believed, would help them start life as a couple.
However, Jossy was left heartbroken after discovering that the money had been misused.
Instead of investing in their plans, the man reportedly splurged the funds on other women.
The betrayal hit harder when Jossy stumbled upon photos of him enjoying life abroad with another woman while deliberately ignoring her calls.
Her pain was compounded by the revelation that she had also financed his overseas travel, thinking it was for their shared goals.
She explained that she never expected such betrayal, adding that she gave her all, only to be left in shock and sorrow.
Despite the setback, Jossy has chosen to focus on healing and resilience.
She says the experience has taught her hard but valuable lessons about love, trust, and financial security in relationships.
There are also claims that the man had previously sought KSh 4 million from her to start a betting company, raising further doubts about his intentions.
