Kasipul MP aspirant Boyd Were has condemned a police raid at his late father’s home in Homa Bay County, calling it unfair and unnecessary.
The raid, which took place earlier this week, left three officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) injured and caused panic among residents.
According to Were, about ten officers stormed the home of his late father, former MP Ong’ondo Were, in search of five people suspected to be involved in recent killings in West Kamagak Ward.
The incident happened just days after two people were murdered during a heated campaign ahead of the November 27 by-election.
Boyd Were said that the officers did not give any prior notice before entering the compound.
He described the situation as chaotic, saying that gunshots were fired without care, even though children and villagers were nearby. TO READ MORE, TAP HERE.
