Kenyans have taken to social media to mock Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni following his recent declaration that Uganda is entitled to access the Indian Ocean and that “in the future, we will have wars” over the matter.
The remarks, which many interpreted as a veiled threat toward neighboring countries, sparked a wave of sarcastic and humorous reactions online.
On Facebook, hundreds of users flooded comment sections with witty remarks and jokes, ridiculing Museveni’s claim of ocean entitlement.
One user, Ice Chäïñ, warned, “Don’t play with Kenyans,” while another, Brayo Wa Bungoma, sarcastically wrote, “Which future are you talking about? We will just send our AP to fight.”
Others poked fun at Museveni’s age and long tenure in power, suggesting his talk of “future wars” was far-fetched. Okewgi Jakayado asked, “Which future mzee, is there any?” while Omanyo Joseph joked, “Having ‘Museveni’ and ‘future’ in one sentence is very big progress in grammar.” TO READ MORE, TAP HERE.
