Good News for Gideon as Source Reveals the Powerful Position He Will Get After Joining Ruto’s Govt

Kenya’s political scene is once again on edge following reports of a secret understanding between President William Ruto and KANU chairman Gideon Moi — a move that is already sending shockwaves across both government and opposition circles.

According to sources close to State House, the two leaders recently held private talks that are said to have laid the groundwork for a wider political alliance ahead of the anticipated 2027 elections.

The deal reportedly includes plans for Gideon Moi’s allies to be accommodated in the upcoming Cabinet reshuffle, which NTV reports is now in its final stages.

If confirmed, the reshuffle could see a number of key ministries and State departments change hands, with several Principal Secretaries and ambassadorial appointees expected to be affected.

Insiders suggest that some of Moi’s technocrats could be tapped for senior roles in foreign missions and strategic state agencies as part of the emerging pact.

Observers note that the Ruto–Moi engagement signals a potential political realignment within the Rift Valley, an area long viewed as the President’s stronghold.

The development comes barely weeks after renewed efforts by Ruto to consolidate unity among leaders from the region amid divisions linked to former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s recent public disagreements with some Kenya Kwanza members.

Political analysts argue that by reaching out to Gideon Moi, Ruto could be seeking to neutralize internal rebellion and expand his coalition base. Moi, on the other hand, may view the partnership as a path to reviving his political relevance after years in the cold.

As the country awaits official confirmation of the reshuffle, the possible inclusion of Moi’s allies in government is expected to redefine Kenya’s political power matrix in the coming weeks.
